Les jazz bands, c'est très particulier, parce que le jazz est probablement une des plus merveilleuses inventions du 20e siècle. Il est né de l'arrachement de millions d'africains à leur terre natale. Imprimant des blessures immenses dans toute la société américaine, encore visibles aujourd'hui. Mais de ces blessures, de cette désorientation massive, est née une musique toujours terriblement vivante, turbulente, et si savante ....<br /> <br /> Même s'ils n'ont pas subi un sort aussi terrible, les Shifters ont tout du jazz band. Les jazz bands sont précis, affutés et joyeux ! Les Shifters le sont aussi ! Les jazz bands sont ouverts à tous les instruments et sur toutes les techniques instrumentales, les Shifters acceptent toutes les techniques sans a priori pour autant qu'elles s'entendent avec les autres. Les jazz bands sont nés de la bienveillance, de l'entraide entre déracinés, les Shifters grandissent par l'ouverture à de nouvelles idées sans jamais défendre de chapelles, attachés à faire bonne mesure et à maintenir le tempo ! Et ce qu'il y a de fantastique dans les jazz bands, c'est que tous laissent une place à chacun, que chacun s'y épanouit, et joue selon sa personnalité, sans forcément avoir une partition bien pré-établie, il y a des loupés bien sûr mais l'ensemble est au final fantastique.<br /> <br /> Alors pourquoi ça marche ? Parce qu'il y a le soul ... Les amis. Le soul ...
